The product Zeology developed and produced by Nera is a main tanning material, with which hides are converted to leather. It is in the form of a powder that will be dissolved in water and applied in big closed drums together with hides at professional leather tanneries. The zeolite tanning agents are an alternative to chrome based tanning agents often used in leather tanning and known for their human and environmental health impact.

This certificate covers

This product was assessed exclusively for use by professional tanneries trained in the proper handling and use of protective equipment for products which cause skin and eye irritation. The requirements for certification have only been met under these conditions.
