About the product

Lime pellets are a by-product of softening drinking water. The pellets consist primarily of calcium carbonate. They measure about a millimeter in diameter and the colouration ranges from white to brown, depending on the location. The core can be sand or calcite. They can be processed differently such as being ground, sieved, or sterilized.

The pellets are produced throughout the Netherlands and in Belgian Flanders at over 50 water production locations by 11 drinking water companies: Brabant Water, De Watergroep, Dunea, Evides, Oasen, PWN, Vitens, Waternet, Waterbedrijf Groningen, WMD, WML The following products or variations are excluded from the certification: use in food or feed.
