Jaro Simdorn

Jaro is an experienced financial with a good sense of people management and operational efficiency, often with the support of the right choice of IT tooling. 

As a Director of Finance & Operations, Jaro is responsible for the Institute’s global compliance and effectiveness in the processes of the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Products Program, providing thought leadership, strategy, and direction on the subjects of (non-)financial reporting and operations.

Jaro worked as an Interim Finance Professional for Staan Finance in various roles and sectors, mastering and expanding his financial competencies and IT skills. The responsibilities Jaro had in these roles vary between implementation of ERP systems and data platforms, training and structuring teams for internal and external
(non-)financial reporting purposes, creating and implementing financial and operational policies on the organizational level, managing business risks and the overall internal control processes, and leading internal and external audits of grants and subsidies for several non-profit organizations.

Jaro is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with the Institute of Management Accountants. Jaro holds a MSc in Financial Management and a BSc in Business Administration from the VU University in Amsterdam.
