Stephanie De Jesus

As the Marketing & Communications Assistant, Stephanie supports a broad range of communication activities at the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. In this role, she helps strengthen the Institute’s internal coordination and public visibility through clear, consistent, and engaging communication across digital channels.

Her responsibilities include contributing to digital storytelling, managing internal communication flows, and supporting content development for the Institute’s website, newsletters, and social media platforms. She also assists in safeguarding brand integrity through trademark monitoring and supports broader content and website initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Motivated by a strong interest in sustainability and audience-centered communication, Stephanie brings clarity, creativity, and a collaborative mindset to her work. Her approach is rooted in making information accessible, aligned, and impactful for diverse stakeholder groups.

Before joining the Institute, Stephanie developed her interest in sustainability during her studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where she took part in community-focused environmental initiatives. She went on to gain hands-on marketing experience with sustainability‑oriented organizations, contributing to digital marketing at Workaway.info, a global volunteering and cultural exchange platform that promotes responsible travel, and supporting event marketing and PR for Surfana Festival, an environmentally conscious surf and music festival. Her commitment to sustainability further strengthened during a sand dam construction project in Kenya, where working alongside local communities on water‑security efforts gave her firsthand insight into the impacts of climate change and reinforced her desire to contribute to meaningful, community‑driven solutions.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communications and a Master’s degree in Governance of Migration and Diversity from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
