Nina Tooley is the Head of Marketing and Commerce for The Cool Down, America’s first mainstream climate brand. At The Cool Down she’s focused on educating and inspiring a mass audience around climate, sustainability, and the circular economy and showing them easy ways to take positive action through lifestyle changes, product swaps, and community action.
After graduating with a B.A. from Princeton University in 1998, Nina moved to Los Angeles where she spent two decades working at the intersection of shopping and technology, helping to launch and grow direct-to-consumer brands with companies including Guthy-Renker, Sole Society, and High Wide & Handsome. Prior to joining The Cool Down, she was the co-founder and CEO of Little LAMMA, a text-commerce startup that offered a personalized shopping concierge service.
Nina also holds an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. Her interest in sustainability dates back to 2008 when she co-authored a research paper while at Pepperdine, titled “Do Corporate Social Responsibility Leaders Perform Better Financially” that was published in the Journal of Global Business Issues. She actively volunteers with the Climate Action Coalition of the Wood River Valley in Idaho and is on the Board of Directors of the Sun Valley Institute for Resilience, where she currently serves as Co-Chair.
