Certification Manager
In his role as Certification Manager at the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, Mohsin Fareed manages the day-to-day aspects of the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program, performs in-depth technical reviews of product assessments, and helps to advance the technical rigor and operational efficiency of the program to maximize its global impact.
Prior to joining the Institute, Mohsin gained experience in the sustainability field by working for five years at Hohenstein Institute, an independent institute of OEKO-TEX®, under multiple sustainability certification programs within the Textile and Chemical Divisions. In this role as an auditor, Mohsin was involved in managing all technical and administrative aspects of the certification processes, including developing and maintaining related management systems along with trainings and standard operation procedures for international auditors. He also conducted audits internationally as an accredited STeP by OEKO-TEX® Auditor to verify compliance to chemicals and environmental management, social responsibility, quality management and health and safety requirements in the textile industry. Before Hohenstein Institute, Mohsin worked for four years at Artistic Fabric Mills & Garments Industries Pakistan in the denim division and managed the technical developments mainly in wet processing.
Mohsin holds a Masters of Science degree in Textile and Ready-Made Clothing Technology from the Technical University Dresden, Germany and Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Technology from the Hamdard University, Pakistan.
