Certification Manager
In her role as Certification Manager, Karin draws upon a wealth of experience in third-party product certifications to conduct thorough technical reviews of product assessments. Her primary objective is to enhance the technical rigor and operational efficiency of the program, ultimately maximizing its global impact.
In this capacity, Karin's mission at C2CPII is dedicated to supporting and improving the Product Certification process. She expresses excitement about being a part of an organization and community with the shared goal of enhancing the sustainability and quality of products for both the present and the future.
Karin's journey in product certifications began in 2012 when she served as a Senior Technical Evaluator at FoodChain ID, focusing on Non-GMO Project Verified certification. Since 2016, she has operated as an independent consultant, contributing to various third-party certification programs, including Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Gluten-Free, Vegan, Halal, Composter Manufacturer Alliance, and BPI. In these roles, Karin aided companies in showcasing compliance with product certification standards by managing documentation, developing Standard Operating Procedures, coordinating analytical testing, and facilitating onsite audits of production facilities.
Before entering the certification industry, Karin spent over twelve years as an Analytical Chemist in pharmaceutical, environmental, and industrial hygiene laboratories. Her diverse background adds depth to her expertise in ensuring adherence to certification standards.
Karin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Science with a Minor in Geology from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Connecticut.
