TRANSPARENCY DISCLOSURES — Our market-based carbon footprint is reported in our (publicly available) sustainability report. Scope 1 and 2 are reported separately on page 31. A small part of the carbon footprint is extrapolated (this was accepted by SBTi). The result therefore differs slightly from the info below. For the location-based reporting, the extrapolated figures were not determined and reported in the sustainability report. Please find those below. 1. Location-based reporting calculates emissions based on the average emission intensity of the power grid your company is physically connected to. It doesn’t matter which electricity contracts your company holds. Location based: 3,715 TCO2 (not extrapolated) = value (metrics = kwh) x Country-generic-energy-mix coefficient factors (from South Pole Factor 2023 (source IEA) or bilan carbon). 2. Market-based reporting reflects emissions from the specific electricity your company purchases. It takes into account RECs, REGOs, or other energy contracts you’ve made. Market based (SBTi reporting): 1,903 TCO2 (not extrapolated) value (metrics = kwh) x 0 Co2e/kwh CF for green electricity & Country-generic-energy-mix for other standard contract (from South Pole Factor 2023 (source IEA) or bilan carbon) Deep-diving into South-Pole methodology: • for green electrical contract: EF = 0 • for grey electricity = South Pole use location based factors as a proxy (this is common practice) (South Pole emission factors are derived are for scope 2 mostly and they are based on IEA) Scope 1 and 2 emissions to be reported on the C2C registry as follows: Scope 1: 8533 t CO2eq Scope 2 location-based: 3715 t CO2eq Scope 2 market-based: 1903 t CO2eq Renewable electricity and GHG emissions targets are achieved by using a combination of purchased renewable energy, own production of renewable energy (solar panels) and the purchasing of carbon offsets.
