From waste to worth: collaborating for circular rubber solutions
C2C Certified® is a member of the Circular Rubber Platform!

Rubber is everywhere, from shoes and flooring to industrial seals and medical devices. Yet its lifecycle is often linear, with end-of-life solutions limited to incineration or landfill. The Circular Rubber Platform is changing that narrative by making rubber circularity accessible and actionable. As a global knowledge hub, it connects engineers, companies, and universities to share innovations in recycled and renewable rubber materials, recycling technologies, and end-of-life strategies.
Founded by rubber engineers Jan Boomsma and Enrico Koggel, the platform fosters open innovation through webinars, project teams, and its newly launched Circular Rubber Marketplace, which redirects rubber waste from incineration to certified recyclers. It’s a space where technical challenges - like silicone waste mapping or shoe-to-shoe recycling - are tackled collaboratively.
C2C Certified®: a fresh new member
As a member of this platform, our organization brings decades of expertise in circularity and certification. We believe that collaboration is key to scaling impact. By engaging with the Circular Rubber Platform, we support a community that is actively working to close material loops, reduce environmental impact, and promote verified sustainable solutions across sectors.
Our participation allows us to:
Share insights from our work on Cradle to Cradle Certified® standards.
Connect with recyclers and manufacturers to co-develop end-of-life solutions.
Support the transition to biobased and recovered raw materials in rubber products.
Spotlight on nora: Certified & Committed
We’re proud to have nora®, whose products are featured on the Circular Rubber Platform and have achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified® Silver and Gold levels under the Version 3.1. For example:
noraplan® 913 is certified Silver across multiple standard categories including Material Health, Water Stewardship, and Social Fairness. It is designed to have elastic properties which require no plasticizers.
noracare® floor coverings has achieved the Silver level and is designed for recyclability: residual materials and offcuts can be reused to produce new floor coverings, supporting a closed-loop system that aligns with the platform’s mission.
These certifications validate that nora’s rubber flooring solutions are not only safe and sustainable but also designed for circularity, supporting reuse, granulation, and responsible end-of-life pathways.
Interested in learning more?
On 25 November, we will be presenting to the Circular Rubber Platform community to share our journey and invite others to explore how certification can unlock circular potential in rubber. We see this as an opportunity to strengthen our partnerships, inspire innovation, and support the platform’s mission to make rubber circularity the norm.
