Building owners, urban planners, environmentalists - xero flor provides all of them with good reasons for the green on the roof.
Building owners will appreciate the fact that due to the green roof the lifespan of their roof will be twice as long. It is protected from UV radiation, mechanical and, in particular, thermal stress: over the year there is a difference in temperature of appprox. 100°C on a conventional roof - on a green roof it is just 40°C. Accordingly well tempered are the interior rooms, too.
Green roofs clean, cool down and moisten the air by retaining up to 85% of the dust particles - and more than half of all precipitations. In addition, they create habitats where otherwise there would not be any.
